Have just finished tidying up my lift arms and trying to fiqure out correct positioning of chain fasting hooks. On one it faces forward but on the other it faces rearward, did these come as left and right.

Hoping the photos show what I'm trying to say :)

Thanks again.

The parts book shows the same part number used on left and right sides.

While we are at it, take a look at the length of the check chains. They should be 7 links long plus a clevis on each end.

just typical of this restore not even the chains correct, mine at 6 links but guessing that is preferable to being too long.
Have checked movement by lifting arm completely up with chains not restricting or inhibiting free movement of arms.
What do you think ok at 6 links

This might restrict the width the arms can be spread to , not so much of a problem with genuine Ferguson implements but some others might be difficult . I have a grader blade that is a little wider at the lift pins , I need to disconnect one limit chain to be able to attach it , same goes for my weed spraying pump .

Yes understand where you are coming from,
thankfully the chain has been set up with a
D Shackle so easy to release if need be.
All going well one day I hope to have a
slasher that can stay attached.
Thanks
