1948 Ferguson TE-20: Hit a stump with the oil pan cover bolt. Moved the oil pan cover; bent the oil pick-up tube. I assume that I should remove the tube to straighten it rather than just trying to force it back to straight. How do I remove it?

remove what it is bolted to. . .? You might also find a seal in the end of the tube. That you can probably get from a hydraulic repair/supply
store.

I guess that's my last resort. It is fastened to the oil pump which would involve dropping the oil pan, etc. I was, of course, looking for the easiest fix possible & was hoping that it would just unscrew with a "pipe wrench". The screen cannot be removed because of the bent tube, so I cannot determine, with any confidence, if it would simply unscrew. The TE-20 Shop Manual is no help.
Thanks for your interest.

Yep. You get to drop the pan at least just to get at it. Once in there, you might shoot it with brake clean to rinse it out a bit and then have a better look.
I just got here Fergy TO-20 fired yesterday after sitting for too long. Oops.
