TEA 20 Oil Pump query

Is the oil pump mounted to the block without a gasket? Do the oil ways just butt joint or should there be a sleeve or gasket involved? Mine had nothing when I removed it and I have studied the manuals but there's no diagram or detail.

I'm hoping someone with detailed knowledge will be able to help here...

Only Gasket I have ever changed as per OIL PUMP to Engine Block:

Thanks for that - I'll make a gasket and get it on. I had used a sealant gasket but would be happier with a paper one too so I'll get the sump off again and fit it.
