So I was thinking a out taking the sediment bowl off of my TO30 and adding a fuel line, with on/off valve, and an inline fuel filter. Will this help the performance at all? Or is it a big waste lf time?

It will not change the performance, it may stop drips from an ill fitting gasket though. If you do change make sure it is a gravity flow filter. I?ve
changed to an in-line filter and then back to the sediment bowl because the filter kept clogging. At the time I didn?t know there was a difference
in filters so changed back and no problems since. I now have 5 Ferguson tractors all with original fuel systems.

System worked over 60 yrs why change now. Are you having problem with bowl? I never
have trouble but I make sure I get right size gasket for bowl. There are different
sizes.

No Im not having any problems. I just didnt know if it would make it any more efficient or cleaner for my old fergie.

I left my original fuel filter and line but add a on/off valve along with a little bit of steel line and a coupler.

To start with it if isn't broken don't fix it or it will be broken for sure.
Most in line fuel filters are made to systems wit ha fuel pump so on tractor they cause more problem then they ever fix. I bet I have fixed over 30 tractor that did not run well just by throwing an in line filter as far as I could from the tractor
