TE20 cylinder sleeve removal

I?m in the middle of replacing the siamese gaskets based on my
previous post. I?ve got the engine removed and in the stand and I?ve
removed the first piston. But I?m really struggling on how to remove
the sleeves. I can makeshift a puller, but I can?t find a perfect blank
for the bottom. Once it moves, will it come out easy? In other words,
does the blank need to be round and slide up the shaft or can I use a
flat blank that would stop at the block? Any suggestions on how its
best to get the sleeves out? Or on what I can use for the bottom
blank? Am I being too worried and can I just wack them with a flat pry
bar and a hammer?

If you get the sleeve to move about 1/4", it should just about fall out after that. At least min did. Find a round piece of hard wood, maple or oak, so you can wack at it safely. I did make a puller though. The dimensions given are for the 85 mm sleeve. I used the puller on 80 mm sleeves more recently and it worked. The disk was too large to pass all the way through the block, but was good enough to get the 1/4" of movement.

I was really surprised how easy these came out. My puller was a bit different. My blank on the cylinder was a 75mm x 75mm square washer; which I purchased off the shelf. I used a 5/8 threaded rod and a metal plate with two gal gate clamps in between that I adjusted as needed. The difference is that I did this with the motor upside down. The 75mm plate just fit between the shaft, and it all came out with ease and no need to weld a special tool. Photos attached.
