Fergie Gray Paint

Hi, After reading many posts re: colors, it seems that Rustoleum Light Machine Gray is a good enough match. I'd be glad to use it, now I find that it can't be delivered to many states including mine and all my surrounding states. I know the laws have changed and restrictions apply, and my only choice now are the low VOC paints. So now what color and type do you use? Thanks

From what I remember reading you want Rustoleum Smoke Grey. But since it can't be shipped to you hopefully you have someplace close that can mix it. I know having it mixed is more expensive than Rustoleum. If you click on the following it will give you 14 different companies that can mix it and it has their numbers. If you choose Sherwin Williams you will have to find a "Sherwin Williams Industrial place" as the household stores can not mix it. http://fergusontractors.org/nfs/wp-content/uploads/paint/Paint-Color-Numbers.pdf. I tried to have S/W house store mix it for me and their numbers came out as a Salmon color not Grey.

Not so much getting the color mixed, I want that good rustoleum paint. This new paint doesn't have the stick power of the good old stuff.

I might plan my next vacation to an area where I could get the paint then bring some back home.????

Well, where in the solar system do you live where a hardware store doesn't carry Rustoleum? yes, smoke grey, off the shelf. I am surprised my ears aren't burning, but I see Richard did not invoke my name here...
there's an idea, I will buy the paint, and Richard can deliver it to you. Just remember Richard, some 'give ways' and 'roundabouts' you must bear to the left... depends which ever continent- or planet- you must deliver this load of paint perfection...

You're in MA? Try to order a gal of rustoleum light machine gray #7781 from HD, either ship to store or home, the final step will tell you not allowed to ship to your address. Several years ago numerous states made laws re: paints. They are trying to reduce pollution, big brother/nanny state stuff. I want the nasty stuff the guvmint doesn't want me to have.

Wal Mart in Texas carry's Smoke Gray. Have you checked there? Maybe they carry it in your state. Just not be shipped to your address.
