I inherited a to 30 and the carb drain plug was missing. I ordered a complete rebuild kit and it did not contain one. Does anyone have a part number or a place to buy one? I run mostly Green tractors and all are diesel so this is sort of a new adventure for me. Thanks

How you doing this morning? I looked in parts book on my TO35,should be basic the same and shows a hex headed plug but no gasket ring so I would think 1/8" pipe thread. It has been a while since I had mine out but when I first read post I thought 1/8" pipe. I have 2 different numbers but both used on Carter or MS carburetors. #15 461A and 751-179 M1 and both look the same in book. I'm going to Rushville later this morning, if you want I'll stop at Fraley and see if they have one. Jim

I'm not familiar with the TO 30...I install drains when safe to do so on updraft carbs.

Is there a fire hazard, as in exhaust pipe near by?

I am doing fine, just really busy. What I am needing is the small screw on the bottom of carb. Is it just a small machine screw with a sealing washer. I stole one off of dads 30 to get mine running .

Originally, they were a short "headless" 8-32 brass screw, NO sealing washer, possibly tapered little, like a pipe plug.

A standard brass screw will work, I use a little loctite on the threads.

Original Marvel Schebler part number is 15-409.

If you GOOGLE it, some of the carb suppliers have the correct screw/plug available.

Does fraley have massey parts? For some reason i thought they handled trucks. I remember laker in Rushville carried new Holland. We looked at a new feed grinder there in about 1993. One of my best friends in collage worked for farmers implement.

Again on Fraley, back in the 1950s and up to about 1995 or so the was a GMC truck dealer. The body shop used to buy all of our GMC truck parts thru them. I worked on a lot of school buses because of the dealership, lot of GMC chassis back then. I tried to buy a new 1994 GMC pickup but I messed around too long and it got sold, should have pulled trigger quicker. I can find a lot of old hardware type parts, bolts, springs, clips, fittings and a lot more. He had Rodefield keep a lot of electrical, parts starters, generators ect. as they rebuilt them, when I restored my 35 they had new armature for both starter and gemmy.
