Tea hydraulic control valve identity crisis

Hi
Someone on this forum sensibly suggested
that I replace this valve while I had the
opportunity. Trouble is all the ones I see
Forsale look different in that they seem to
have a notch cut out on the end. Is mine
correct for the year it's a 1952-53.
Thanks

Will work just the same . Pressure relief valve is another ' really should change' item .

Hi Charles
Yes I was getting myself confused again,
control valve vs safety relief valve. Looks
like I will have to pull the PTO shaft to
get at that relief valve correct???
Thanks.

Two locations for the relief valve , either in the lift cover , or in the pump . You have pulled so much apart it would be silly not to drop the pump and at least clean it out if not put a kit through it . To clean the back end out really properly the pto and pump must come out . If you are getting tired of the job take a day off and come back to it , there is no advantage in skipping things now . I did and have had to revisit bits I never wanted to see again .

This hobby is becoming bigger than Texas I
have now removed the PTO and located relief
valve atop of control valve replacements
for both ordered and due tomorrow.
Onward and Upward.

Somewhere, somehow, someone in the UK did videos then cd's of everything you are getting into. I have their cd on the 23c diesel, but I believe this shop did a cd on every section of every model, they should turn up in a search rather quickly.

Hi Tony
When you say shop can you be more specific
or did you mean this tractor forum put out
the information on all the bolt sizes.
Cheers
