Front wheels couldn't go any deeper without cutting off the front axle. And she kinda steers herself anyway, you are just along for the ride, to nurse the throttle and draft lever. I go so deep i need a stirrup for my right foot somewhere halfway up the fender. No way a rolling colter would let you plow like this. One of my 'Lindemann Dearborn' flip overs I found a few months ago, it was welded to go right hand only... till i have time to cure that with a torch. I think the weight where it is helps with my depth... and the green thumb around here wishes I has a plow that could go down a couple yards- the back hoe?

Were are you located to be ploughing?

Ground is frozen 3" deep here in Western Alberta.....:(

I ended up with three Ferguson 2 bottoms.....with diff. lock I plough as deep as the tractor can pull until the little beast spins!

Diff lock? What tractor is that?
I am 3 days east of you... and further south. Is the frost that deep already? A few years ago I had to dig a hole- for a fruit tree, in the yard of my gang in Sherwood Park. I kept digging, just to see where the topsoil ended. The length of a D handle shovel. I was told it was due to 10,000 years of buffalo $h!t... I don't doubt it. I am trying to reach half that with whatever machinery- and chicken manure, I have.

No way 2. All my tractors are allergic to fire ants! Besides... you got more than 2 tractors that's for sure, one of em should be able to teach that red Georgia dirt a lesson!

Hey Tony, Where did you find that Fergy? I've never seen one with a racing stripe on the hood like that on all the tractors I saw in for service at the dealer I worked for years ago. Maybe the stripe makes it faster? If so you better get some balance weights on the wheels..

What's worse, is the blue racing stripe you see on the narrow/vineyard model. They look too much like a Dorf with blue trim like that.
When this 30 was just a brain donor, the fenders came off this one for awhile, got painted and went on a 35... then this one found a good block, I rebuilt it, and then...it needed the fenders back.
The front tires are heavy- foam filled. Someday, when i decide what -but not calcium- to fill the back tubes with... but she did OK- really, better than OK.

looks like the little fergy was doing a good job turning over the soil

Great looking Job of turning the soil..:)

What part of the world do you call home?

Bob....North Western Alberta .........

If I lived there, I'd be broke all the time. Too close to Dixie Gun Works. Every time I go in there, I come out broke.
Last time i went shopping in there, came out with an original McClellan cavalry saddle and bit... so now I got to buy a horse that fits it...

Well, not useless if you were in the frozen vegetable business.... I'll let you borrow my potato digger... see if there's any hibernating moles down there.

Never thought of getting into the frozen veggie business. At the very least I could plow my snow up into neat little rows and get the neighbors talking!
