Make that First and second gear

It seems to go into the gear position but no response. Third, fourth and reverse all work as should

I have seen several Fractured / Brocken / Bent 1 & 2 nd gear shifters.........

In 1975 I had to fabricate a 1&2 gear shifter....all steel and still in Transmission on daily user....

Thanks for your reply on question about 1&2 gear.

I have a shop manual for the tractor and it does not show the steps for replacing the fork. Do you have any suggestions?

If you have the IT manual it is step 83a to service the rails

Here is how I proceeded with the Transmission (1&2 shifter) I had to repair.

Disconnect battery and remove:

Drain oil from Transmission:

Removed TOP of Transmission cover, Steering Column, and Dash as one UNIT:

Make sure you DO NOT LOOSE or drop SPRINGS,BALLS etc, that place shifting shafts into proper position:

VERIFIED problem....?

Split ENGINE from TRANSMISSION at BELLHOUSING:

Perfect time to inspect CLUTCH and associated parts, Throughout Bearing, Running clearance on Bearings of Transmission INPUT SHAFT:
