TO20 pivot pin & bushing

Tried to put new fan belt on yesterday only to discover I couldn't get belt over crank pulley.

It appears the front axle pivot pin bushing has worked itself out (back) toward the engine. It is not touching the crank nut (with the starter notches) but it is so close to it I can't get the belt through there.

Has anybody seen this happen before ??

Is there any other solution than to take off the front axle and tap the bushing back toward the front. (or the just replace the pin and bushing) ??

Related question... I was looking thru the Ferguson parts manual and it indicated the TO20 required TWO of those bushings. Is that right ??

Oh yeah ... Just a small addition.

It appears this condition has existed for a while.

I appears someone previously has tried to pry that bushing back into place. Looks like they pried against the crank pulley and in doing so, damaged the pulley. Looks like they tried to fix their mistake, but not very good job.

Guess the misshapen pulley is chewing the belt.

By all means don't delay the fitting of a new pin and bush , you are lucky it hasn't let go and caused a front end disaster .
I saw this ' belt and braces ' approach to this problem at a show once . It win't allow you to use the crank , but it won't let the front axle collapse and ruin the fan , radiator and bonnet either .

thanks for photo. Maybe I'm wrong about what that is. Maybe it's the longer pin that is sticking through that far. I need to look again, but I don't think the bushing is even that long. (The length it is showing thru on the inner side). (It was kind of dark in the tractor shed).

the original pin in my TE stuck through about an inch, the replacement was barely enough to reach the back side of the support
