Wanted to say thanks those who posted and helped me get my TO30 started (timing problem).

The pictures really helped.

I am always impressed with you folks who tear down and rebuild these lovely machines. Diagnosing problems in a logical, step by step way, and coming up with reasonable solutions. Again, impressed.

Finally got around to trying to fix mine this morning. Did exactly like y'all said. Stared at it 10 minutes, put in fresh gas, stared at it another 10 minutes, was gonna kill a goat, but don't have one, got in the seat, looked up and hoped dad was watching and not laughing. Turned the key, barely tapped the starter and she purred like a kitten. I was happy.

Hooked up a blade to level out the messy back yard from the construction and she never whimpered.

Thank you so much.

Anyway, she's pretty to me.
