Hi
Is there a way of testing the oil gauge that it is in fact working prior to finding out it doesn't. I don't want to fire up reconditioned motor and have it cease due to faulty gauge.
Thanks.

You got me thinking and I just finished doing a gauge test myself. I have a little portable compressor that I ran up to 30 PSI and turned off. I attached a dust blowing gun nozzle with a rubber tip. Release the air pressure and 30 PSI on the gauge. The air gun is this type.
