Front axle bushing problem

I have had the axle machined and a new bushing pressed in. The problem is that now the bushing seems to have worked its way partially out of where it is supposed to be. So the new pivot pin is riding on only a part of the new bushing.
Any suggestions as to how to fix this issue?

This probably isn't the best idea of all, but offhand, I would think pinning the bushing in place might be a simple and effective answer. Simply get a split pin or taper pin, drill the proper sized hole through your axle and partially through your bushing, drive in the pin and grind off the excess. Touch up with paint and you're done.

I am so redneck my neck glows,

but I think if I remember correctly I just drove it back it, then used my wire welder and touch it a few times and it has stayed.

could be wrong on that but it has not come out anymore, my axle was worn, so bearing did not fit tight as others have said about having to have the axle honed out our machined to get bearing to fit axle.

have to use graphite on bearing from time to time as it starts making a noise
but its got a new bearing or bushing after all these years.

Thanks. That is pretty much what I did. I guess when it needs changing in another 20 years it will be a problem. But for now it should not move.
