Loose PTO lever

Been a long while since visiting here. Been working on a 1953 T030 all winter and finally have taken the restore as far as I care to, which has made it look really, really great. I have one issue to fix and am at a loss. The PTO lever is below the seat on the left side of the tractor and the assembly is all there. Problem is that the lever is not only loose on the shaft but the shaft is wobbly going into the mounting plate. I can fix the lever to shaft but have no idea what's up on the inside. The lever still activates and deactivates the PTO. But will surely break if not repaired. any suggestions?[/img]

No problem to remove assembly. Just park wheel on block or jack up so oil will be lower
than bolt holes. You can look at assembly and see what's going on inside. May just be
something loose that can be tighten. Lever has a roll pin that may be worn. Look close
inside as you remove to see how it fits.

Sounds good. Somethings wrong and I hope it can be purchased after I tear that cover plate off that the shaft goes through. Is what it is I guess. Thank you kindly for your response.
