2 bottom plow

I have a 2 bottom plow that has a tag on it saying its a Massey Harris/Ferguson 0-14 model #. My question is, does anyone know if this plow was painted red or the ferguson grey? Thanks for the help. Ed

I would say Red. I have 2 front mount cultivator's(both MHF) and they were red from factory. The first I painted gray(it was red) as I was told. The owner's Son said he didn't know if it had ever been painted. The second one I bought from the original owner and he said it was painted red when he bought it and a 57 tractor new. So I have one right and one wrong.

When the Massey Harris 50 tractor was introduced, Massey Harris dealers were given a line of three- point implements to sell with the tractor. They were Ferguson implements, painted red, with new Massey Harris number designations. Many of these new number designations were retained when the Ferguson and M-H lines were merged to become Massey Ferguson. Thus the Ferguson A-BO-22 lift type disc became the Massey Harris 22 lift type disc and subsequently the Massey Ferguson 22 lift type disc.

found this poking around.

my dad bought our neighbors 1957 model TO35 in 1960, it came with the original 3x12" set of plows, they were painted gray.

years later he traded the gray 3x12" for set of 2x14" plows,

after a few years, he retired, as a hobby he plowed a few small garden spots in the community. He decided he liked the 3x12" plows better as they plowed out almost the full width of the tractor.

so he found another set of 3x12" plows, this newer set looks to me, just like the original set of plows, but they were painted red.

so who knows, I think the equipment label says MF 62 on the second set of 3x12" plows

do not know if this will help you, but here is a 14-AO-28 plow
this one has the optional weed bars

it is gray, most of these old plows were stored outside so they lost their paint years ago,
someone repainted if they have a nice coat of paint.

many of the older plows have been repainted red to match the newer color scheme
just my opinion,
