last year used MF 35. this year TO-35.

not as pretty as last years but the job is done.

after sitting a few months five out of six of my machines fired up on their own.
three 12V Generator
two 6V
and the one 35 I have the most money in is a non-starter. go figger.

Good job, it should work down in a few days.

I looked for a while for one of those Ferguson 1-16" plows,
but I have a 3x12" and a double disc plow so I guess I have enough.
I also wanted a 2x16" as I understood it would let more trash or debris flow through and not get clogged up like my 3x12"

I've also been looking for a 2-16 for several years.

All kinds of smaller 2 bottom plows seem to constantly be on CL. But I never have even found a 2-16 for sale.

I have been studying the 'art of ploughing' since i was a tiny little kid... ok maybe i still am.... but.. some 'observations' to help you get a cleaner job done. You are deep enough, from the look of the dirt on the right tire.... but too much of the sod is falling back in the furrow, instead of rolling over, and staying roots up. As i enlarge the picture, i am not sure if the leveling box is adjusted right. I drive the left rear tire onto an 8x8, on pavement or a very flat spot. then adjust the leveling box and top link till the share and landslide are both sitting flat on the floor. Cause they need to be flat and level in the furrow.
Boy oh boy. At the FENA meet in Republic last year... a handful of us got a short course in all this from Mr. Vern Tinder, a retired MF rep, and he explained where exactly the lower links must be, exactly where the 2 levers must be on the quadrant... on and on... what a time to not have a video camera.
Get on you tube and see what you can gather on there- study the people doing it really right. There are some talented people working their fergies on you tube.
As for what starts and which don't... yeah my one dead horse out of 10... is the Ferguson 40.... backed into a corner... with the disc harrow still on it... that i will need soon... you got a disc harrow?

dealer has two 2x16" plows one is a MF do not know about the other one
has pictures both look good, no coulters.

MF plow was advertised at $250

last year w/o a cover crop the plowing was much easier. I was in a rush to get the job done and did not take the time to set up correctly. also I have a vision impairment. everything I see is blurry. my wife has been doing all the driving. those are my excuses and I am sticking to them.

nah. just allowing the engine to cool off quicker.

Really, adjusting the plow, keeping the right wheels in the furrow, you - she- don't even need to watch where you're going. Like being on railroad tracks, but- to get the plow adjusted right, the moldboard will roll the cut out of the furrow, and make it stay upside down- down inside the last furrow. The way some one added that extension to the moldboard, they had that problem too. The dirt around you? I know it's Saturday morning, but forget the cartoons, get on you tube

That is nice to me.

Wow. Quite a difference.... 10/16? So this was last fall? Then that tractor was adjusted perfectly to the plow.
Keep this up, you will be in a match with Sam and the gang on the other side of the pond... hope ya like warm beer....
