Toolkit for TO30

Hi. Never posted before and I'm seeking a little advice. I have my dad's TO30 and want to keep using it. Unfortunately, all his tools were stolen.

My question is what is the basic toolkit y'all keep for general maintenance? Not specially tool, but the ones you need regularly. I have normal smaller box end/wrenches. Some smaller sockets (up to 7/8"). What are the larger sizes I would need?

The one tool that you can find quite often on ebay is the Ferguson spanner wrench it is 11/16 on one end & 1-1/16 on the other OPEN END ON BOTH ENDS. These will show Ferguson on one end of the wrench STAMPED into the flat spot on the wrench below the opening. It has been said this is the only wrench you need to take this tractor almost all apart. I have seen it advertised as a plow wrench and as a gas tank wrench. I won't put mine in the gas tank to check the amount of gas in it I will use something I know is clean. It is used to check the depth of the furrow when plowing. It does have graduations on the body of the wrench and is about 10-1/2 inches long. Other than this one wrench, I would say you have most anything else you would normally need as I do not remember hearing of any other Ferguson wrench as such. This sometimes can have the part number TO-17014 cast or stamped into the wrench also. The English Ferguson Wrench has marks such as EN 18 or something similar cast into the wrench body. there are no metric sizes on a to-30 so that takes care of that.

a decent 1/2in drive socket set will come handy along with a 3/8in adapter. get a six point set. also a decent set of open and box end wrenches too. also a med. to large adjustable wrench.

you will add more as you go along.

Must have on every tractor; a hammer and pair of pliers.
