TEF starter switch moved?

I am finding out about a TEF that I just got, slowly trying to unstick the engine. I have tried to locate the start selection in the gearbox, same as a TED that I had years ago, but the loader spool valves seem to obstruct it completely. However i did find a circular knob high on the right side of the gear box, it seems as thought it should activate the starter. The key switch is long gone but am I right in assuming the procedure is Fuel on, key on diesel stop rod in all the way then select start.
I have never had a tef before, just keen to learn and frustrated that its taking time to un sieze the engine.

The button has to be pushed in to be able to move the gear lever in to the start position.
As for the start procedure, there is a cold start button on the injector pump aswell, to aid cold start

I believe the owners manual had you push the
button you pictured in with your heal, then
gear lever to the right and up. The starter
gear is manually moved with the shift lever,
should be able to see this as you try it.

Thank you both Jone and Thomas, it is as you said a push button not a twist. The gearbox selector for start does work, at least mechanically.
Before I take the starter motor out and start levering the ring gear I will need to hoom up a battery and test the start circuit.
