TO 35 1958 vs 1955

Is there much difference between a 1955 TO 35 deluxe and a 1958. I might have an opportunity to pick up the 1958 for $2100. It has 3300 hrs on it. Im still looking at the Kubota or having an engine put in my TO35 (1955) and now this came along from a neighbors friend. Was figuring I would have 2 TO35's ( one for parts) and save quite a bit of money all around and have some decent parts or even repair it.

I did miss something. The 55 will have two push buttons to open the hood center door, while the 58 will have one screw type knob. The 55 will have 6 bolts on the small end of the trumpet that hooks onto the brake housing while the 58 will have 12 bolts. The 55 should be Light Grey sheet metal with Dark Green Metallic hard parts. The 58 would be Red sheet metal with Flint Metallic Grey hard parts. The 55 will have round clutch & brake pedals, 58 will have the flat style. The 55 has side hood emblems while the 58 uses side decals I am sure you might find a couple more items than what I mentioned that aren't exactly the same on both. When you find differences I would be interested in what they are. Armand all in all they are pretty much the same. I am sure you can enjoy both of them.

There were some minor hydraulic upgrades. So if you buy hydraulic parts, pay attention to the serial number. Some 35s had different carbs. If both have
Marvel Shebler, then that isn't an issue.

I am going to look at it today. The owners son sent me a picture and it looks pretty clean. Now just gotta check the mechanics. I'm hoping I get lucky here.
