1750278M91 cast oil pan

I bought a replacement oil pan from YT which is a cast iron type.
It stated holes might not be exact, but when trying to install it I find only a few that match up to the engine holes. I checked the old stamped pan with the new one and the holes seemed to line up. But not to the engine holes. What do i need to do? Drill out the 18 holes to a larger size? The end that fits towards the rear of the engine also causes the pan to sit forward to far.

Without seeing it, hard to say.

But if any doubt you can make it work, remember, once you start drilling on it, you bought it!

I would be inclined to return it.

If holes line up on old pan it has to fit engine. Check close may need to move it
around. I wouldn't drill hole in new one. If you make it fit and gasket fit's it still
may leak and then you wouldn't be happy.Try and locate one off a salvage engine. Should
be good supply.

Trying to remember what I read about 2 years ago. Take the clutch inspection plate off, now try the pan and see if it will line up. If it will the pan was made just a tiny bit to long so the cast pan needs to be shortened the amount of the inspection plate thickness. I think this is what I read. If you know of a machine shop they should be able to do it if not maybe a good metal file will take care of the problem and not cost very much, just a little labor.

After reading your post again and you say: The end that fits towards the rear of the engine also causes the pan to sit forward to far. Now I believe that is exactly what I was trying to say. The rear of the pan needs to be shortened just a very small amount.

Is this the Pan?
