TO35 PTO problem

Went to do some brush chopping yesterday but the pto on my TO35 would not turn. Then I discovered that it would turn halfheartedly when the clutch is let out all the way. Everything else works fine. When I put the tractor up for the winter last fall everything worked good. I sure could use some help figuring this one out.

Does it have double clutch(live pto) or single.? What does it do when pto is in ground drive position?

It has a two stage clutch. The pto does not work when in "ground" position.

Since it worked when parked it's hard to say. Clutch may be bad--lever may have come off--shaft coupling may have sheared pin. Have you removed side plate where you engage pto? I would check this first to see if you can engage by hand. Park wheel higher(jack it up) so oil will not run out. Look close when you remove cover.
