ferguson to35

I have a ferguson 1955 to35 that I am restoring. Gasket kits for it on this website all say it does not include exhaust valve seals. What are they?

Looking at the I&T manual (certainly not the last word), it doesn't mention valve stem seals at all.

I suspect the intake seals are an after thought, and probably none were ever used on the exhaust.

But it would not hurt to add them.

Someone with a factory parts breakdown will probably come on with more reliable info, been a while since I've done one.

Valve seals on the exh might not be used to allow a slight amount of oil down the valves to keep them from seizing in the guides. So, you can add some seals, starve the guides from lubrication and the result might not be pretty. Or cheap. That might earm you the nick name of "Ricky". That is as in "Ricky Re-do". That would be as in Ricky Re-Do your repairs.
What do you think, "Ricky"? Your not Ricky? You might desire to do some research before you do become a "Ricky".
I have done enough "Ricky" jobs in my life that I have lost count.

Thanks for the input. I had not experienced exhaust valve seals. I need a gasket set and the one on this site says it does not include exhaust valve seals. that was the source for my question.
