How to change hitch for back blade

Hi Guys,
I am getting nearly ready to mount my back blade.
I'm new at this so I'm needing your brains and experience.
I want to mount a 5 foot back blade to my TO20.
Do I just take the draw bar out and then add an adjustable top arm?
Seems simple enough but want to check with y'all.

Yes, Steve, you'll need a top link. (You'll need to remove the stay bars, in addition to the drawbar.)

It looks like you have the brackets under your rear axle for stabilizer bars, and I would recommend a set.

There should be a photo in the archives of the exact setup.

One question: why does your PTO shaft stick out so far? (It could really use a cap.)

Tom thank you for your reply
There is an extension on the PTO - maybe an over- running type
deal? Maybe someone can explain that to us?
It slips over the tractor PTO and bolts up to the case
So...What are stabilizer bars?

This is an extension on the pto that makes it compatible with "normal" ASAE implements. Used one on an 8N to operate a IHC grain binder. Extension shaft is also the normal 6 spline with groove 540 rpm. It is not over running! Shield is missing and there is no cap for the shaft.

Stabilizer bars go from underneath the axle/fender back to the lower hitch pins to keep the implement from swinging from side to side during use. Brackets bolt on to the fender bolts.

Thanks Roger!
I think based on what you say that I should remove the PTO extension
Can the bars that currrntly run from the top cylinder down to the draw bar be used as stabilizer bars?

No. You can get stabilizer bars at Tractor Supply, MF dealer, and used tractor boneyards as well as from online suppliers. You can run with just one
stabilizer for most applications if you wish.

You asked about an over riding clutch. That PTO extension should come off, then you could get an overriding clutch "IF" you are going to do any bush hogging. That is the reason you would use a ORC. If you don't plan on doing any bush hogging then I would just take the extension off and put a cap over the PTO spindle.
