PTO rpm high low

I got a 5' bush hog for my to20, with the sherman in low the pto spins in the 430 rpm range, with the sherman in high the pto spins in the 750 rpm range. It seems to spin a little slow in low and a little fast in high. It works both ways but id rather spin it 540 and it doesn't seem capable of that.

Standard drive, 3/4 throttle is 540 RPM. Pick what ever gear you desire. Low Sherman might not get you to 540
PTO RPM. If your getting 750 PTO RPM out of hi range, try less throttle. Stewart Warner makes a hand held tach
that can be used to read your PTO speed. You can find them on fleabay.
