TO 35 Clutch

I bought9 Ono oi a '56 TO35 six weeks ago. The clutch has become randomly intermittent. Once it starts working, it works for a while. I adjusted the pedal. Didn't help. Any thoughts or ideas? Is there anything I should check or do before I break it in half and replace the clutch?

Is clutch sticking--not able to stop or get it out of gear? If so it's the pressure plate. They will work OK then not stop until you use brakes other times. I've have been told to pull it hard long period of time and this will help but I've never had that kind of luck. Check throw out bearing if you split tractor.
