TO 35 Block

Well just got the bad news, the block is cracked in 3 places on the inside.. That's the reason I'm getting water in the engine oil. Just had the head gasket replaced figuring that was the problem ( it was blown) but was still getting the water issue. The cracked block was the original problem all along.

If I were to open the oil drain until the antifreeze runs out after each use would I still get some time using the machine. Really don't want to add any more cash into it.

Just curious, where are you located? I may know someone who would like to buy if you are close enough.

my TO-20 had a cracked block top and bottom. I put BARS leak in it and it sealed but when I added anti freeze the AF went right into the block. I think you have two options. drain the system and do not use the machine during the freezing months then add a sealer for the summer or put money into it. you may better off selling it for what you can and buying something else.

I am by Binghamton NY, The dealer just told me there are 3 cracks in the block didn't ask where there were. Is it worth it to rebuild it, It does run pretty good.

other than having the block pinned I know of no other way to rebuild/fix the block. some one else surely knows more.

When I had my T0-20 rebuilt(Machine shop) the block had cracks and they had it sent out and
forge welded. It did add some cost...I want to say around $400-$700, but that was over
over ten years ago, so i can't say for sure on the price. Point being though that it's
been great little tractor since then. I got the tractor for nothing, so I was okay putting
a little money into it. ...Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the helps and tips. right now Im dealing with the 33 inches of snow we had here. In a few weeks I'll have it back and I'll figure out what I will do. Thanks again
