Water pump issues

I am having a problem removing the body assembly of the water pump from the engine block. The support assembly (#2) was not a problem but the body (#12) will not come loose. I removed the two nuts holding it and have moved it a quarter inch away from the block so far, but it won't come all the way off. There is no choice now, it has to come off to replace the gasket behind it.
Anyone else had this problem?

(quoted from post at 20:49:21 03/02/17) There are 3 nuts holding it, on studs 22, 26, 27.
That is what the pic shows but I only found 2 nuts. It is loose enough to move some away from block so I don't see how a third one could be there and it be able to move. I can see what appears to be a post when I look through the space between the pump and the block and I think may be holding things up. But there is no nut on it to remove.

Use brake fluid on the stud (8 o'clock) and let set over night. This will help loosen
rust around stud. Then work back and forth next day and keep using brake fluid on the
one stud. Little at a time so you will not break housing. I never try to remove the one
stud because it is rusted bad as you will see after getting housing off.

(quoted from post at 08:24:12 03/03/17) The one stud stays in block.
Finally got it off. Don't really want to do that again.
Thanks for the help. The stud that remains in the block and goes through the pump body was the problem.
Now I have created another issue. In prying and coaxing the pump body off I have made a gouge On the backside of it that mates to the block. Will the gasket seal with this gouge or would it be better to use RTV instead of the gasket?

Will the gasket seal with this gouge or would it be better to use RTV instead of the gasket?

I'd fill the gouge with JB Weld, file and sand it flush and use a new gasket.
