What is the proper color for a 1956 to35?

Depends on what month it was made
Thur 4/56 they were gray
5/56 they were a cream color beige

Look up on the Internet paint colors for 1956 Ferguson TO 35 tractors you should find all kinds of information on the colors

I understand some rare 1956 models were painted beige hoods fenders with green bodies

It seem like during the years of 1955-1957 Ferguson could not make up their mind what color they wanted there tractor painted,

I have a 1957 that I just repainted red and gray so it looks like the later models,

There are two answers to that question. The early 1956 were same as 1955 Light Grey & Dark Green Metallic. The later ones were Bamboo Beige & Flint Grey Metallic. Hopefully the following will help you in getting the correct color from what ever company you will buy it from.
