Clutch plate

Can someone please explain why some clutch plates are slotted and some are not but both sold as suitable for my tea20

From what I've read, the slots serve as a vacuum break to keep the disc from being held to the flywheel/pressure plate momentarily when released.

Why some would not have it, I don't know... Maybe the mfg thinks it is not necessary? Maybe they don't have the machine to cut the slots?
