TO-30 vs TO-35

I have found a parts 1953 to-30 for sale in my area. I am in need of a transmission case and lift
cover or my 1952 to-35 and was hoping you could help me on part compatibility on the two. Mine is
the 4 cylinder diesel. Thanks Drew

You didn't say what your area is. I am sitting on a '35 trans case with gears. I don't believe the '30 is the same animal. I could get this pallet-ed and shipped.

Email was open. Still is. Or we can do this here. I need $100 for the unit. My zip is 97124.
You can locate a freight broker and get yourself a quote from my end to yours. I can deliver this pretty much
over the Portland metro area. I once had an engine block shipped in. Delivery 15 miles away was $100 cheaper.
Do some research. This case and gears has been sitting for some time now. There is a real good chance that
someone else might be closer and have a case for you.

It's currently still functional but was trying to be proactive when I found this parts tractor. I will probably just wait till a catastrophic failure.

That just motivated me to look on fleabay. $300 for a case and $600 for the case with gears. Guess I might just
have another project coming up real soon....

SickVoodoo, I think maybe you want to slow down just a little bit and find out what you really have. The TO 35 did not go into production until 1955, so you do not have a 1952 TO 35. If you found a 1953 TO 30 then you should realize the TO 35 has a 3 speed with Hi-Lo and the TO 30 is strictly a 4 speed forward gears. I am not sure when the diesel was installed into a TO 35.

I just pulled that year out of my bad memory. I for sure have a to-35 with a three speed hi lo and 4 cylinder diesel. You answers my question anyway. I was just wondering if the chassis matched but clearly they don't. Thanks

(quoted from post at 05:54:44 02/18/17) By 4 cyl diesel, is it a 23C diesel? If so is it running or are you trying to get it running?

My tractor is running and fully functional. One of the previous owners crossed a bolt in the lift cover and broke a chunk off the trans case. Over the last year of use its developed a crack work forward in the case. I still use the tractor with no problems but I don't like to have broken stuff.
