Adapter for Temperature Gauge Probe...

Had a coolant leak, and found a crack in the adapter that threads into the gooseneck between the cylinder head and radiator in the TO-20:

The adapter was included when I bought the temperature gauge a few years ago, but I can't find one by itself. Does anyone know a source? The threads on the probe don't seem to be a standard size.

Pipe threads on the male part of the adapter, straight threads on the temp bulb fitting. Try Summit Racing, they have a lot of stuff like that.

My local O'Reilly's had this set in stock that included the size I need (plus three that I don't need!):

Various online sellers had individual sizes, but the shipped price ended up being way higher.

When you used the adapter, how much of the probe actually made it through the end and into the coolant flow path? I just found an adapter, but only a very short portion of the probe would seem to come through and be active. I'm trying to find a sensor that doesn't need this extra adapter, but that seems hard to find. Thanks for any advice.
