Started my TO-20 yesterday and noticed a strange noise as I was driving off to do some work with it. Looked at the gauges and saw the oil pressure was at ZERO. Immediacy shut it off and checked the oil. Looked like it was down a quart, but nothing serious. After a couple starts and shut-offs the pressure came back up.. I began working with the tractor and then noticed it dropped to ZERO again. I did notice a patch of oil on the rear of the engine near the air/oil intake filter.
After checking it again this morning, still no oil pressure, knocking at the top of the engine (due to lack of oil I'm sure).
So my question: Do I drop the pan and pull the oil pump, or is there any other ideas y'all can think of before I dug in deep?
Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
