throttle lever

Was thinking about getting throttle lever chromed but looks to be a bit of a mission to remove. Will it pull up through the dash or is it not possible.

It comes out along with the brass bush set into the steering turret .
I think you can buy them already chromed , it might be cheaper than having yours redone .
 
I send my own out to be chromed as when I buy already chromed they are not as nicely finished. The down side is it cost more than buying already chromed. I will continue to send mine out.
 
Not sure on how it will come out through turret as the triangular plat on the bottom has been welded on. or does the control lever separate after the split pin is
removed from base of spring.

On my TO 30 the bushing gets pushed down then the lever can come down through the now larger hole opening. Yes the pin has to be removed first. I am sure as miner09 says it is easier to remove the dash to get the lever out. While it is out you can really clean it back in there.
 
Yes you are right it would clear once bush is removed and pull through from the bottom of turret I have dash out so easy to work on and good that i can clean away some surface rust before things get bad. Thanks for the help.
