Heyyy All

Can you please help me and maybe tell me what year my ferguson is from ?? i can find a number at the gearbos who says TED 182860 .

Is that number cast or is it stamped into the serial tag on "TOP" of the dash between steering column & hood? I think it is a 1951. You can double check by looking at the left column of this page under "Research & Info" then clicking on "Serial Numbers". Regardless of year you made a good purchase.

Look at these casting numbers next to the dipstick at the rear .

They show , DD:MM:Y , the number at the bottom is the casting station or workman's designation .
General opinion is that there was about three to six weeks from the casting of the back end to completion on the assembly line but I have seen tractors that were completed only a week after the back end was cast .
