Head cast numbers tea 20

Hi all again,
Whilst stripping down the head on my latest tea 20, I found
numbers cast into the head ( 17 12 8 or s) which are the same
as those cast into the block.
I have not seen these when doing my other tea 20's. Is this a
common thing?

What is the serial number on the dash? 20 or 30 k?
If so, it means its head and block were both cast on 17th December 1948... that's cool !
