How to fix TO30 steering box leak

I want to fix the oil leak thru the side of the TO30 steering box. It leaks at the sector arm and shaft penetration. It appears that all that is needed to fix the leak is to replace the oil seal pc 11. Where can I buy the oil seal pc 11? Are there any other replacement parts required to fix this leak?

You also need to drill and tap the top cover and add a greaze zerk. Carefully lube and rotate steering wheel to lube top bearing. Front wheels off the ground is easiest way. Fill box with 50/50 90W mixed with NGLI rated 00 (JD Corn Head) grease. Mix in zip-lock bag, cut corner off and fill. Once all that is done, take off the radius arm caps and stuff in a pre 1980 copper penny. Reinstall the caps and steering should be near new.
As for your seals, I think i got mine from flea bay. Others should chime in shortly and perhaps with a better source.

Eric, look down the list 13 before yours, there is another one almost the same with some better info. Almost any auto parts store should have them the number is SKF 13027, I think National Seal and Chicago Rawhide use the same number at least the parts counter can double check. Bob (Aust) has said before if you would grind those centering pin spots off the seals will slide off and new ones slide on without taking the steering column apart.

Parts manual indicates the same seal for TO 20...TO 30 and TEA 20.

# 30....Part # 195 761 M1
Seal: 1 5/16" X 1 7/8" X 7/16"

In the archives there is info from Bob from OZ as well as a picture:
Bob indicates you can grind the external machining point off the steering arm to facilitate seal installation.

Charles in Aus also indicates that you can do the same thing very easily and without much grief at all. :D

The seal can be bought from any decent bearing shop , just make sure it is an Imperial size , many try to substitute a Metric one and that just doesn't work .
Take the old leather one out by carefully prying it, take it to the shop with you for measurement, save the outside metal cover . Grind of the back of the old seals and once the new seals are fitted glue the old seal covers back onto the outside of the new ones with decent adhesive . This preserves the look of the steering box as the modern seals look a little odd by themselves .
A hand file is all you need to remove the notches , it only takes a few minutes a side . Purists will roll over and kick and scream though :)

Is the purpose of this zerk fitting to provide extra grease to the bearing? Is the bearing you are mentioning the upper piece 2 or the lower piece 2 on the drawing?

What is the purpose of the penny and can you provide a drawing that shows where the penny goes?

Eric, the penny helps tighten up the steering by taking some of the "slop" out of the radius arm sockets. I haven't done it myself, but here's a photo, showing where the penny would go. You remove the footpeg/radius arm cap, and stick the penny to the back of the ball on the radius arm. I've also heard of using plastic strips, or pieces of tin can, beer can, etc. formed around the ball.
