:? tore down a to 35 for a clutch there is not a mark where the old bearing was in place could someone tell me where it is to be placed canit be too far up or back

For future reference, If you had a bearing in there it could have been removed by filling the hole with grease
and then finding a socket extension or rod of the same diameter as the bearing center hole. After filling with
grease, insert rod and hammer in, the grease will force the bearing out. You might also not have a bearing but a
bushing instead. Either one, I would reset it about 1/16 inch. Placement is not critical as the worker bee who
originally set the bearing in on Friday might have been in a hurry to go home and just whacked it in. Or was too
much weekend on Monday and only lightly set it in. A fair amount off leeway was designed into the placement of
that item.
