spindle arm

one of my spindle arms is bent. I'm going to straighten it to get everything back aligned up. Would it be ok to use it permanently?

OK just found another problem, the steering box has a crack in it. This won't be a working tractor, just a toy. I'm thinking what ever caused the spindle arm to bend is when and also caused the steering box to crack. If I take it all apart, clean it up good, stop drill the crack to keep it from going farther, put JB weld in the crack to keep it from leaking, is that being too much like Buba and will fail just using for parades and fun? Will it maybe be OK for that purpose.

That could explain the other problems with the loose gears. The case could be warped, pushed apart beyond adjustable clearance. I would look for a good used one, avoid a lot of aggravation and do-overs.
