Well I'll take a guess. Since you did not list the make or model I'll give the owners manual capacity for a TO30. It's 6 gallons. I think the rule is
put in 5 gallons max that way he clutch does not get soaked. I believe you can pull a bolt from the side inspection cover and when it weeps
that's full enough. Also the 6 gallon in the book would be completely bone dry, even draining you will have some residual.
Someone will come along with better info than I have given, but that's a start.
 
6 gallons which is too high unless your running sure seals on the brakes. Then pull the lower bolt on the PTO
side cover and fill it until it comes out. I run 6 gallons and sure seals.
