To-30 and To-20

Hey guys and gals,
I currently have a 1948 To-20 with a nice sized hole in the water jacket. I braised it a few years back, but doing work on the ole girl and want to get a new block. The junk yard I go to will sell me a bare block for $350. My main question here is will a to-30 engine bolt right up to the tranny of the 20 or would there have to be some mods done in order to get it to work. A running z129 engine will cost me $650. I really don't want to do it but the co owner is all about more power, no replacement for displacement if you know what I mean. Its hard to convince him not to do it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advanced
Pat

Your biggest, if not only problem will be filtering the oil. I don't know if the channels in the castings are different- should be a way to re-route it making use of your 20's sump, or you'll have to hunt for 30 canister parts- which should be easy to find ??

Ok guys got everything running, the engine is really strong starts and runs like a gem. Only have two problems, one minor problem is for what ever reason, the clutch is not fully disengaging, I'm sure just adjustment issues there but the second main problem is the manifold is turning cherry red after about 10 min at half throttle. could that be that the carb is out of adjustment or maybe the carb that came with it is to small? Its identical to the one that was on the to-20 engine.

Some possibilities:

Ignition timing incorrect?

Engine running to Lean?

Exhaust Valve not totally seating?
