What is the width of the drive belt for the Ferguson 3 pt buzz saw, and where could I get a belt made out of the proper material for it?
thanks

Gov35 are there any Amish out in your area? The width on mine is 6" same as the pulley. If none in your area send me an email I do have another thought.

There are some Amish 30-50 miles away, never thought of that.
What is your other suggestion?
thanks

Are there any farm supply store in your area? You can get belting for the round balers
and cut to length. Do you know anyone in your area that has round baler that has
replaced belts? See if they have old belting and cut a piece.Old belt will work on saw
as it doesn't have near the pressure as the round baler.

I have a UK made Ferguson cord wood saw model ALA-20 -A , there is also a 19 model that is earlier .
The belt as per the manual is supposed to be 5'' wide by 6' 2'' in length . The belt for the earlier model is significantly longer .

The A-LO-19 calls for a 5" x 7'7" belt. Your saw should have a ferguson-sherman or dillinger tag on it. Length of the belt is important cause when lifted the belt slackens on the pulley. I would set the saw up
and with a string measure for the size you will need. You have an adjustment on your frame to help tighten or loosen the belt but it won't be that much so belt length has to be pretty close. I would give you
the length on my belt but I have an adapter on my pulley which changes my belt length.

Look up a place called HIT & Miss out of Ohio. They have the old style belting in different widths and plys. They will cut it to your length
and put lacing on belt.
