went to start one of the 35's to move my trailer and it would not fire up. tried different key position and various chokes. was about to give up and then it dawned on me. turn on the gas you dope. fired right up. ugh....

I am thinking about routing a nylon hose gas line up to the dash, putting an on off gate valve in easy reach, and if that works, do it to the rest of the fleet. The loader frame on the MF65 makes it all but impossible to see or reach in there without being a con-torture-ist..... never mind remember it is there.. I always remember they need to get turned on, I rarely remember to turn them off... the guy that owned the 202 wrote a note on the dash with a magic marker, the guy that had the TEA printed 'turn gas on' with a label maker... you ain't alone

I remember doing that a couple of times with a hand crank A JD. When you remember what you've done then your to tired to start it!

I suppose it will come to us all sooner or later .
My friend had the same trouble with his 1954 TEA20 , he would either forget to turn on the fuel and drain the battery or forget to turn it off and drain the tank .
I fitted a 12 volt fuel shut off used on gars that run on LPG . You can wire them two ways , shut when powered or open when powered . Turn on the ignition and it opens allowing fuel to flow , turn ignition off the valve shuts .
Now I need a way to help him remember to turn on the ignition before trying to start it off the stick :(
