TO35 Clutch press plate fingers

I am changing out the dual clutch in a TO35. Can someone tell me how to adjust the pressure plate fingers and also the
adjustment bolts for the dual plate. So far I have the fingers all equal distance from the plate and just a hire
shorter than the end of shaft to throw out bearing. The adjustment bolts have about 1/8" gap to the clutch facing.

Were you having trouble before changing? If you have a manual it should tell you have to adjust. Most the time I change clutch I don't adjust pressure plate.

I had to take it apart to get the PTO disc out. It is the belvile washer spring type. I don't have the shop manual only the operator manual. The PTO was slipping bad in moderate thick grass while mowing.

You need the book. There is a special gauge of sorts to set the fingers and the book tells you how to make that gauge. Its just a flat piece of metal with a notch cut in it. The dimensions are in the book.

This is my tool for setting the fingers. This is for my 65 but I think yours is the same.

I've got the book, but it's at work. The 1/8" clearance on the bolts sounds wide, but I'm guessing from memory.

I will look but it will be Monday morning.
