Unleaded fuel?

Another day another question.

Is (UK) unleaded fuel ok? Any long term effects?

This is a TEA-20, with the 85mm Standard Motor Co engine and a Holley carb.

I've been running Unleaded fuel in my TEA-20 since about 1975. The little Beast pulls and operates great. 4' brush mower, 2 bottom (2 x 14")plough,7'cultivator. The past Ten years averages around 40 hrs./year.

Don't know about the UK, but in the USA and Canada the only place to get leaded gasoline is at airports.
Europe and the UK use MBTE as an oxygenate in their gasoline, so you shouldn't run into the problems we on this side of the pond run into with ethanol added to our fuel.

The Standard Motors engine used in the TE20 was designed before the introduction of lead additives in petrol .
Valves and seats are more than hard enough to use with no additives needed.
