Stuck clutch

I thought my tractor fever was gone but brought home a 50 MH yesterday with a stuck clutch among other problems. What really impressed me was the PO who was 89 and as spry as a 50 year old.He climbed up on his fel an operated it like nobody's business, walked me back and forth over his property never missing a step while showing implements. WOW!!

You need to go make friends with the old man. Bet he has kids who have no interest in the farm after he is gone. Bet he is wondering what to do with a few of his things. If he is not on the far side of the moon, keeping in touch might behoove you. Lots of this new generation has no interest in the old things. Throw it away, buy new. Cheaper and more plastic.

Gosh I thought you were kidnapped by space aliens! Was kinda expecting you at the FENA meet in Mo. It wasn't 'far?' from KC.
So you are... 7 tractors now? No such thing as too many 50's, that is the first tractor I reach for serious work. Not that I ever do serious work...

His sentiments exactly Bruce but he's 2 hrs away and knows the value of everything yet realizes its time to deplete inventory. Offered up a free fel for a 35 and 100 for 5ft. bushhog. Metal stuff everywhere and a basement full, has one of the biggest vises I've ever seen, said it was a railroad vise. I could have a part time job just helping him sell stuff. I plan to keep in touch. It was well worth the 500 just to meet such an active senior. Said he had choir practice this morning!

Sounds like a plan... sweeten him up for me so I can get that rr vise.... i'll put it on my Sheffield speeder... if it can hold the weight???
