TO 20 Front axle pivot bushing

Fellow Fergy Owners,
I was changing out the front axle on my TO 20 because it had a bad crack in it. I got another used axle from a guy who had a 9N. He claimed that it was good and would hold a new bushing. As I expected it would not. The closest machine shop it 75 miles away. I was thinking of using epoxy to hold the new bushing in the axle. Was wondering if this would work or if anyone has tried this. Thanks for any advice.

The wife's TO-20 is running a 9N axle for the same reason. Then come to find out the 9N axle I picked up was
also cracked. So, I took the 9N center section down to a good friend, picked up a used oven and he punched out
the sides of it. He then got the broiler up to max temp, let the axle bake for awhile, pulled it out and welded
diamond plate on the back side, I believe with nickel rod. Stick it back in the oven and drop the temp 100
degrees per hour until cool. Do Not be tempted to add a grease zerk to the bushing. Grease attracts dirt. Dirt
is a great abrasive. Dry graphite works just fine.
