TO30 with carter carb?

I need to rebuild the carb on my TO30 sn 127037. I pulled the carb and it is stamped in various places Carter 838 ut 0-839. I am thinking this is a UT carb and it seems not the right one for this tractor??

It was running fine but the needle pin stuck open and I found the gasket for the float bowl was coming apart and sticking the needle open.

Is this carb correct? and which rebuild kit do I need.

There were some late TO-30"s made with the Carter carb and it"s shown in the Ferguson parts manual. I also have a Carter as a spare as our TO-30 came with a M-S TSX 458 and my serialnumber is later than yours (T0 137XXX).

The carb Ferguson part number of 181 957 M91 (Carbretor Assembley). I"d try an Agco dealer to see if they have a kit for it.

if a rebuild kit doesn't fix your problem. Waltz tractor has an after market.
