the 3pt goes down to slow for my liking.(up is ok) I have the draft control set on fast. any other adjustment I could do?

thanks.

I was quickly looking through the IT manual this morning, trying to find the hydraulic/transmission oil requirements, couldn't find it... But this manual covers several models, all appear to be basically the same as the TO series. Slow hydraulics with 90 weight has been an ongoing problem so most have switched to 15w40 engine oil. Unless the MF50 specifically requires 90 weight, the 15-40 might be an option.

Another thing you could try would be to remove the right inspection cover and manually over ride the valve lever, see if it will drop any faster. If so there are adjustments to the control levers that can be made. Gets pretty complicated, best have a book to look at before going too deep into it.

it operates the same with the new 90w as what I drained out. (whatever that was) I don't think it is the oil as I have 90w in all my TO's and once up to operating temp. they work fine. just have be patient in cold weather. just a side note:

I have been dealing with 90w since the fifties when my dad was farming with his TO-20, TO-35 and 9N.

thanks for the response.

I,m wondering if you are using the pressure control section of the quadrant instead of position control? Also 90wt oil is too heavy for an MF50 they are meant to run on 15W30 or 15W40.........Sam
