clutch pedal adjustment

Hi all I am adjusting the dual disc clutch on my 135 and can't not keep the pedal from turning on the throw out bearing shaft. Has anyone ever had this problem and came up with a fix? Thanks Todd

Might try taking the pedal off cleaning both surfaces

Then coating the surfaces with valve grinding paste

This material is gritty, when you clamp the pedal back it should stay

Worth a shot,

I have seen someone rough the shaft up by using a center punch numerous times on the shaft, this will make the shaft surface rough, that might work
Also a new clamp bolt, locking washer an double nuts,

2 stage clutch? Might not apply to your situation but when I did my 180 I was having the same problem. It turned out I had the rod hooked to the wrong hole at the pedal.

Might try going back with a new grade 8 bolt and grade 8 flat washer. The washer will keep the bolt head from digging into the surface, give more squeezing power. Can't remember if that is a through bolt or threaded. If threaded, chase the threads with a tap, if through bolted, replace the nut also.

Either way, oil the threads and tighten it really well.
